CAIRO: Egyptian presidential candidate Abdel Moniem Aboul Fotouh criticized the performance of Egypt's ruling military council, adding it can't bear the responsibility of the current conditions in Egypt. He added the military rulers' main role is to protect the Egyptian borders after the end of the current transitional stage. He clarified if the transitional stage is prolonged, Egypt will suffer from more instability. Aboul Fotouh raised the importance of Egyptian youth's role in rebuilding Egypt, especially in the current critical stage during a meeting with a number of students of the Egyptian universities. He added the younger generations are considered the main victims of the former regime. About the current elections of deans of Egyptian faculties, Aboul Fotouh said the leadership of Egyptian universities will play a main role in building and training the youth to lead Egypt in the future. Aboul Fotouh described his electoral campaign as a national project aiming to gather all Egyptian citizens, especially the silent faction. He added he will complete the project even if he lost the presidential elections.
