The Coordinator of the April 6 Movement, Ahmed Maher, said the movement will not run for the next parliamentary elections, clarifying the movement's activities will be limited to the exposure of members of the dissolved National Democratic Party (NDP) and supervising the elections in different electoral districts. Maher refused the claims and rumors of the movement recently facing for reasons of not running for the next elections. He added they proved these allegations about possessing lands or properties were false. Maher revealed about 6,000 members joined the April 6 Movement during the past three months, which coincided with attempts aiming to smear the movement's reputation. He added such attempts prompted Egyptians to sympathize with them. Maher stressed the revolution will continue until it achieves its objectives, clarifying the demands raised in the statement of changing no. 7 were not met yet.
