Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr will visit Washington September 17-19, according to the Foreign Ministry's spokesman, Amr Roshdy. Amr will discuss the situation in the Arab world with senior American officials. Roshdy said the minister will meet U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Secretary of Defense Lion Paneta, National Security Advisor Thomas Donilon, and U.S. Envoy for Peace in the Middle East David Hill. Amr will speak in front of the U.S. Council of Foreign Relations. He will discuss Egypt's vision for developments in the Arab region, political developments and the democratic transition in Egypt. Amr will also discuss the Palestinian case and Egypt's support of Palestine receiving full membership in the UN.
