The Free Egyptians Party will not join any electoral coalitions that work to impede the will of the Egyptian people, the party's political office announced Monday, saying that the priority for the party is to achieve real democracy and enact the ambitions of the people. The statement cites the party's readiness to open a dialogue with different political and social groups in Egypt regarding rules governing political activity. Basel Adel, member of the party's executive council and political office, said that the Free Egyptians will only join “The Egyptian Bloc,” which is composed of 15 non-religious political parties and movements, and not participate in any other coalitions. He added that any future negotiations would be conducted through the bloc, which calls for the establishment of a civil state. Ahmed Khairy, a member of the party, praised the party platform, which has attracted 120,000 members, saying the platform will be met with growing acceptance during the next parliamentary election.
