Many demonstrators resumed their protest in front of the Israeli embassy in Cairo on Saturday, renewing calls for the closure of the embassy, the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador, suspension of gas exports to Israel and the cancellation of the Camp David peace agreement. Security personnel created a new fence around the embassy in an attempt to thwart any new attacks on the building or embassy officials. Police and armed forces were heavily present on the street near the embassy. The armed forces maintained traffic movement in the area and some residents nearby sprayed demonstrators with water to disperse them. Some demonstrators raised the Egyptian flag and demanded that Egypt cut all ties with Israel.
