ASWAN, Egypt: Nubian protestors across Egypt are prepared to gather in el-Mahata Sqaure in Aswan to participate in protests dubbed “the Friday of Return,” to bolster their demands to return to the shores of Lake Nasser, and to demand the expulsion of the Governor of Aswan. Political groups in Aswan Governorate announced they would join protestors outside the Governorate Building, as did Nubian groups in other governorates. Demonstrators decided to hold the “Friday of Return” protest after Friday prayers held in Nile Dorat garden, and followed by a march in Mahata Square outside the governorate headquarters.
