SHARKIA, Egypt: Driver Ezat Fahmy said he has agreed to reconciliation with businessman Mohamed Farid Khamis, who Fahmy said slapped him while he was demonstrating. Fahmy said he held a reconciliation session with the businessman and added that he did not received any money in return for the reconciliation. Fahmy said that Khamis slapped him in public, and this cannot be compensated by money. He added that he accepted reconciliation after the businessman promised to support the residents of the city of 10th of Ramadan and offered 10 visas for pilgrimage, five ambulances and to treat a patient with kidney failure. Fahmy voiced his appreciation for Egypt's media, especially Youm7, which supported him against the insult. He said he doesn't want any personal demands. He said he joined the demonstrations organized during the visit of Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf to express complaints with his colleagues.
