CAIRO: The trial of Egypt's former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly has been adjourned until August 14, by decision of the North Cairo Criminal Court headed by Judge Ahmed Refaat. Lawyers will be allowed to examine evidence at the High Court from August 6-11. Al-Adly and six of his assistants are accused of killing demonstrators during Egypt's January 25 Revolution. Yesteday the men appeared in court alongside former President Hosni Mubarak and his sons, Alaa and Gamal. Mubarak's trial is set to resume August 15. Fugitive businessman Hussein Salem is also a defendant in the case and is being tried in absentia.
