Egypt midfielder Mohamed Al-Nenni was on target in his second game with Basel, scoring the opener in a 2-2 friendly draw with Ferencvaros. Al-Nenni – on trial at St. Jakob-Park – found the net one minute before the break when he dispatched home on the rebound after Marco Streller saw his penalty blocked by the keeper. The Swiss champions scored another goal seconds later through David Degen as Al-Nenni and Egypt teammate Mohamed Salah were both substituted at half time. Hungarian giants Ferencvaros then snatched the draw after the break thanks to a brace from Vladan Cukic.
