Egypt's assistant coach Shawki Gharib played down the importance of Wednesday's 5-1 victory over Tanzania, saying that dealing with the Pharaohs' weaknesses is what really matters. The African champions destroyed minnows Tanzania in their first Nile Basin tournament match at Arab Contractors Stadium. Gharib admitted that his side faced a lowly team in the game but stressed on the real purpose of the friendly competition's games. "Irrespective of our opponents' form, these matches always help us detect the disadvantages of our team," he told the post-match press conference. "That's the main benefit of the friendly matches. We don't care about results, only about the playing style."
