Ahli forward Geddo out of Ismaili clash
Published in FilGoal on 17 - 11 - 2010

Ahli were dealt a major blow after Geddo was ruled out of Sunday's anticipated Egyptian Premier League clash against Ismaili.
The in-form forward picked up an ankle injury few minutes after finding the net in Egypt's 3-0 friendly victory over Australia at Cairo Stadium on Wednesday.
"Geddo suffered an injury in the medial collateral ligament of his ankle," Egypt doctor Ahmed Maged told Modern Sport after the game.
"I don't know for how long he will be sidelined exactly. He will undergo scans to find out the extent of the problem.
"But such an injury requires at least from seven to 10 days of treatment even if it turns out to be a minor one."
Geddo was introduced in the second half of Egypt's victory over Australia, replacing his Ahli teammate Mohamed Abou-Treika.
He doubled the Pharaohs' advantage with his first touch, connecting with a low cross from fellow substitute Ahmed Elmohamady to slot home from close range.
His injury will mount the problems of Ahli coach Hossam Al-Badri, who is under pressure after a string of below-par displays.
The Red Devils will also have to do without keeper Sherif Ekrami and defensive midfielder Hossam Ashour, who are injured, when they face bitter foes Ismaili away from home.
Defending champions Ahli, who eye a seventh consecutive league title, are second in the table with 18 points from 8 games, three behind leaders and arch rivals Zamalek who played two matches more.
