Manchester United will be without Wayne Rooney in Wednesday's Champions League clash at Valencia due to an ankle injury. The England striker was taken off United's 2-2 Premiership draw at Bolton on Sunday, even so he didn't seem to be injured. United has not yet determined the extent of the injury of the 24-year-old, who has been nowhere near his best form so far this term. The Red Devils, who lie second of the league, succumbed to a disappointing home draw with Rangers in their Champions League opener a fortnight ago. Valencia lead Group C after thrashing Turkish champions Bursaspor 4-0 away.
