Egyptian duo Mohamed Abdul-Wahed and Mohamed Al-Gabbas have penned new deals with newly-promoted Lierse. "We accepted the extension offers immediately because we feel comfortable here at Lierse," Egypt international Abdul-Wahed told FilGoal.com. The duo had initial contracts until the end of the current season, which will be the first for Lierse in the top flight since 2006-2007. Meanwhile, another Egyptian who was not offered a new contract is wing-back Ahmed Samir, who was linked with a move to Zamalek last season. Samir's contract with the Egyptian-owned club runs out by the end of the term. Lierse kickoff their season against Sint-Truidense on Saturday.
