Inter Milan forward Mario Balotelli has apologized to coach Jose Mourinho for a row that prompted the Portuguese tactician to leave him out of the team's squad for five successive matches. The nature of the row was not identified but Balotelli is likely to be back in Inter's fold after issuing a public apology on the club's official website. The statement comes two days after he said he would not apologize because he 'had done nothing wrong'. "I am sorry for the situation that has been created recently," the 19-year-old said. "I am the first person who has suffered because I adore football and I want to play, and now I am waiting in silence so I can return to being useful to my team. "I want to put the past behind me, look to the future and concentrate on the upcoming commitments and make myself ready." With striker Samuel Eto'o suspended, Balotelli could be included in Inter's squad for the Serie A game against Bologna on Saturday.
