Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola believes that talking about referees' performances is a waste of time, following his nine-man side's 2-1 win over Getafe. The Spanish champions overcame their Liga rivals despite the early red card for defender Gerard Pique, who was followed by Rafael Marquez in injury time. But Guardiola has no complaints against the referee despite losing two key defenders for the visit to Atletico Madrid next week. "It's really bad for football that every week doubts are being cast," the man who led Barca to a sensational treble last season said after the game at Nou Camp. "Referees do their best and can make mistakes. It is such a great waste of time that it isn't worth it. "It's as if Barcelona won six titles thanks to the referees. I have said plenty of times before the referees don't enter into my thinking. "I don't care if they leave us with 10, nine or eight players … or if they blow for three penalties against us, we will have to score four. "What happens (on the pitch) is our responsibility. The best thing to do is to look at yourself and with me that's what we'll always do."
