Egyptian FA president Samir Zaher says Egypt won't be looking to avenge their loss to Algeria in November's World Cup decider when both teams meet in the Nations Cup semis on Thursday. The African champions missed out on a World Cup berth after they were beaten 1-0 by the Desert Foxes in a playoff that was set up after both sides became equal in points, goal difference, goals scored and head-to-head record. The infamous game was followed by clashes between fans of both sides in Sudan. There has been a hostile relationship between the two countries ever since. However, Zaher stressed that the Pharaohs are only aiming to win the continental competition for an unprecedented third successive time, saying they are unconcerned about possible fans' scuffles. "Our game with Algeria is an opportunity to reach the final and claim a recording-breaking title," he told FilGoal.com. "The spectators won't affect the result. The game will be on the pitch not in the stands. "We don't want revenge, but we want to make history." The winners will qualify for the final to face either Nigeria or Ghana, who will clash with each other on the same day .
