Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew played down his side's average performance against Burkina Faso, saying the Black Stars completed their task by qualifying for the quarter finals. Ayew headed the only goal in the first half and his team hardly impressed against 10-man Burkina afterwards. "Performance and playing style don't really matter, we won and reached the next round," the 20-year-old told Al-Jazeera TV. "Result is definitely more important than performance. "Ghana's squad consists of youngsters, we are here to learn and develop ourselves. "Our display against Ivory Coast wasn't good, so we wanted to make amends." Ghana were battered by the Elephants 3-1 in their opening game which cast doubts over their chances.
