Injured striker Amr Zaki missed Zamalek's training session for the second day running, the club said on Sunday. "Zaki did not turn up for training today, just like yesterday," Zamalek general director Hussien Abdul-Monem told FilGoal.com. "He neither got permission nor provided any explanations for his absence." The Egypt frontman is currently nursing a hamstring injury that ruled him out of this month's African Cup of Nations in Angola. He recently revealed that he was eager to experience Premiership football again, having spent the last season on loan at Wigan Athletic. Disciplinary problems with Wigan last term ended any chances he had of earning a permanent stay at the JJB Stadium. Such problems could also blemish his Zamalek spell. "Zaki switched his mobile off, we couldn't reach him," the White Knights' football director Ibrahim Hassan. "I would have solved any problems he faced if he had phoned me, but he did not. "He will be fined for his actions, and if he keeps missing training he will be hit with further sanctions." Zaki, who is suffering from niggling injury problems, has not scored any goals with Zamalek since returning to the club in the close season.
