Ittihad assistant coach Mohamed Nour called on his side's fans not to be furious at the coastal club's lengthy winless streak in the Egyptian Premier League. The Alexandrians won a single point out of their first five league games, to prompt speculations that they will lose their top-flight status by the end of the season. Ittihad were condemned to their fourth loss this term at the hands of Ismaili on Wednesday, who won the game 1-0 away. However, Nour seemed optimistic in the post-match press conference, saying his club are going to redeem themselves after the coming league break. "The team are suffering from a lot of problems. The players need to work on their fitness and other technical issues have to be sorted out," he stated. "But Ittihad will regain form after the league stoppage period." Carlos Cabral's team are languishing at the bottom of the league table, two points adrift of Asyut Petroleum who are in penultimate place.
