Ismaili defender Moatasem Salem has been called up to Egypt's squad for Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Rwanda. The inclusion of the 28-year-old was announced only one day after Mahmoud Fathallah dislocated his shoulder during the Pharaohs' training, and was omitted from the list. Zamalek stopper Fathallah underwent surgery on Monday, and will stay on the sidelines for no less than three months. Ismaili's official website mentioned that Salem has already joined Egypt's training camp, which is held in preparation for the eagerly-anticipated clash. Hassan Shehata's side, who lie second in Group C on four points, have to win their remaining qualifying games to keep their qualification hopes alive. After their trip to Rwanda, the Egyptians will play their next qualifier at Zambia on October 10th. Algeria are on top of the group with seven points, Zambia are third on four while Rwanda lie at the bottom with a sole point.
