Ittihad are considering reappointing Taha Basri as their coach after Helmi Toulan snubbed their offer to take over at the club. Despite agreeing in principle to succeed Basri at Ittihad's helm, Toulan eventually backtracked on his stance. He said that he received threats on his mobile, without further elaboration. The Alexandria-based club approached Basri, whom they sacked recently, over the possibility of him managing the club on a temporary basis until they find his replacement. "They must meet my demands first," Basri, who was shown the door after Ittihad lost twice and drew once in their first three league games, told FilGoal.com on Thursday. "They should pay me my dues; I did not receive my salary for the past two months. Ittihad also are yet to pay me a four-month salary in compensation for sacking me." Under the guidance of Basri, Ittihad became a mid-table team after fighting against relegation for several years but made a disappointing start to their league campaign this season.
