Published in FilGoal on 13 - 08 - 2009

Algeria registered a 1-0 friendly victory over Uruguay in preparation for the World Cup qualifiers next month.
The Desert Foxes, who compete with Egypt, Zambia and Rwanda in the qualifiers Group C, downed the South American giants with a goal from Rafik Djebbour.
Djebbour, who scored against Egypt in the 3-1 win in June, hit the winner on 79 minutes to help Algeria continue their impressive run of results this year.
Rabah Saadane's team welcomed Lazio's Mourad Meghni for the first time after the French-born midfielder chose to play for Algeria.
Ghana hammer Zambia
In another warm-up game, Zambia were thrashed 4-1 by Ghana in London.
Sulley Muntari opened the scoring for Ghana before Zambia's Stoppilo Sunzo doubled the lead with an own goal, but the latter made amends by pulling one back for his team.

Agogo scores for Black Stars
Former Zamalek striker Junior Agogo restored the two-goal cushion for Ghana from the spot as Haminu Dramani rounded off the victory in the second half.
Masri goalkeeper George Owu started for Ghana, who are well on course to reach the 2010 World Cup for the second straight time.
Zambia will face Algeria away on September 6th, in a crucial qualifier that will be watched closely by Egypt.
