Egypt players found that some of their hotel rooms were robbed following their stunning 1-0 Confederations Cup victory over world champions Italy, South African police said on Friday. "Members of the Egyptian team reported that their wallets containing cash were missing from their hotel rooms on Friday morning," police spokesman Sally de Beer said in a statement. "Five members of the team were affected. It must be stressed that they were not present in the hotel rooms at the time of the incident. "The South African Police Service will take all measures possible, including liaising and cooperating with other role players, to prevent a recurrence of an incident of this nature." The incident might once again raise a debate over South Africa's ability to host next year's World Cup. The country's high crime rate has been the subject of concern since FIFA announced that the World Cup would take place in Africa for the first time in the tournament's history.
