Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri said experience made the difference in his side's 1-0 Champions League victory at Young Africans on Saturday. The Red Devils eased into the competition's round of 16 after Flavio's first-half goal completed a 4-0 aggregate win over the Tanzanian side. "The experience of my players helped them control the game," Al-Badri told Egyptian TV. "This was evident in our neatly-worked counter attacks which threatened Young Africans more than once. "We scored a legitimate goal from one of those attacks but I don't know why the referee disallowed it." Mohamed Abou-Treika thought he had doubled Ahli's lead midway through the first half when he converted Gilberto's cross from close range but his effort was ruled out for offside. Ahli, who aim to win a seventh Champions League title, will face Kano Pillars in the round of 16. The Nigerian club advanced after overcoming Senegal's Douanes on the away goal rule following a 1-1 aggregate draw.
