Bruce worried by lack of goals
Published in FilGoal on 23 - 03 - 2009

Wigan Athletic manager Steve Bruce expressed his concern at the fact that his strikers are missing too many chances.
Bruce fielded Egypt striker Mido alongside Hugo Rodallega during Sunday's 1-0 win over Hull City, where Wigan had to wait for an 84th minute goal from Ben Watson to win the clash.
Both Mido and Rodallega failed to convert clear-cut chances in the first half, as Mido's fellow Egyptian substitute Amr Zaki hit the bar in the second.
"We had umpteen in the first half, which we didn't take, and that causes you a concern," Bruce said after the game.
Wigan managed to score only 14 times in their last 15 home games, and Bruce believes that his strikers need to be more efficient in front of the goal.
"We have been at that stage many times - and the fear was that, in the Premier League, you don't get many more chances.

Watson scored the winner against Hull
Watson Praise
The ex-Birmingham City boss was full of praise for Watson, whose strike against Hull was his second since joining Wigan from Crystal Palace for £1.5 million in January.
"At £1.5 million, Ben really does look a snip," added the former Manchester United defender.
"I'm sure Palace boss Simon Jordan will be on the phone soon accusing me of doing him because Ben was terrific for us today.
"He's still only young so the signs for the future look very good. He really had the bit between his teeth."
Wigan are currently seventh in the Premier League table with 41 points from 30 games.
