Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri said that Ahmed Hassan, Mohamed Barakat and Flavio Amado played the biggest role in the team's 2-1 over Masri on Saturday. An own goal from Mohamed Hafez and an Ahmed Hassan strike earned the Red Devils the three points which got the team back to the league's summit. "Hassan, Flavio and Barakat helped us impose our style and have the upper hand throughout the game," Al-Badri was quoted as saying by Ahli's official website. Manuel Jose's men didn't impress during the game's first half, and it wasn't until the last 15 minutes of the clash were they started entertaining their fans. "We couldn't threat in the first-half because we didn't use the flanks as we should have. "But this changed after the interval, and we produced a number of good opportunities from both wings."
