Zamalek made a complaint to the Egyptian FA about the apathy of foreign duo Junior Agogo and Ricardo Alves, who haven't been participating in the regular training sessions for a while. Both players are deliberately skipping training after amounts of money had been deducted from their dues as disciplinary measures. Consequently, the Cairo-based side urged the FA to take action and put an end to their constant absence from training. Ghana striker Agogo has come across as an undisciplined individual since his arrival at Zamalek, and was sanctioned on more than one occasion.
Ricardo Ricardo's status is even worse, as the Brazilian full-back couldn't settle down at all and is expected to move away from the club in the not-too-distant future. The beleaguered defender became an outcast after trading blows with teammate Gamal Hamza in an Egyptian Premier League with Ghazl Mahalla, and several other disputes made his stay at Zamalek unbearable. On the other hand, newly-appointed coach Michel Decastel was seemingly unimpressed with Cameroonian duo Ize Kwala and Stephane Mpondo, as he decided not to sign them this winter. Both footballers were handed trials at the White Knights, but apparently the Swiss was not convinced with their abilities.
