Ismaili have opened talks with Switzerland's Sion over acquiring goalie Essam Al-Hadari in the January transfer window, coastal club board member Mohamed Salah Abou-Greisha said on Saturday. According to Abou-Greisha, the former Ahli guardian showed initial agreement to seal a move to Ismaili this winter. "Ismaili started negotiations with Sion after Al-Hadari had revealed his willingness to accept the offer," the board member told Modern T.V. "We are yet to know Sion's financial demands. We can discuss the details when they table their offer." On the other hand, Ahli general coordinator Hadi Khashaba didn't comment on Ismaili's overtures towards the Egyptian keeper. However, he reaffirmed that the Red Devils would never welcome Al-Hadari back. Unsettled Al-Hadari completed his deal with Sion nearly a year ago without the consent of his then club Ahli, when he activated a release clause in his contract. The international keeper was heavily vilified after sealing the notorious move, which cost him his vast popularity among Ahli's fans. After failing to settle down, A-Hadari announced that he would like to move away from his current club, insinuating that joining Sion was an unwise decision. The 35-year-old also said he wishes he could rejoin Ahli, but latter ignored his approach as expected.
