Mourinho upset with Inter fans
Published in FilGoal on 01 - 12 - 2008

Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho hit out at his side's fans for jeering Douglas Maicon during Sunday's 2-1 home victory over Napoli in the Serie A.
Despite being unfit, the Brazilian defender took part in the game, but he was booed off along with striker Julio Cruz.
"This team deserves more from their fans. It was disappointing to hear whistling against a player like Maicon, who today stepped on to the field despite the doctors advising otherwise," Mourinho was quoted by Calcio Italia as saying.
Ivan Cordoba and Sulley Muntari scored for The Nerazzurri on 16 and 24 minutes respectively, before Napoli's Ezequiel Lavezzi pulled one back for Napoli 12 minutes later.
After clinching the win, Mourinho's men cemented their place on top of the table with 33 points, six ahead of second-placed Juventus.
"We are on the right track to pick up a number of points before the Christmas break. We could have scored more, but in any case managed to get enough goals to win," the special one said.

"Milan, Juventus and Roma all win their games. The Giallorossi are a little further back, but last season they were able to close up a similar gap and almost won the title."
Praise
The 45-year-old boss dished out praise for his players after the match, saying they definitely earned the win.
"We totally deserved to win this match and dominated the first half. Napoli did score a great goal, but I do not recall a real scoring opportunity for them other than that," he added.
"In this moment I am happy with what my side is doing and we must continue like this, because the chasing pack are not slowing down."
The tribute comes after Mourinho earlier panned his team for slumping to a 1-0 home loss to Panathinaikos in the UEFA Champions League last week.
