Coton Sport announced that they won't be responsible for hospitality arrangements when Ahli arrive in Cameroon for the CAF Champions League final. Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri told the club's official website on Wednesday that Coton refused to cooperate with Ahli officials in arranging accommodation and transportation for the Egyptian champions. Although Coton will host the final game's second leg on November 16th in Garoua, they said that the Cameroonian Football Federation is solely responsible for setting up the game.
Al-Badri added that he believes Coton Sport officials are deliberately trying to make their trip arduous. On the other hand, Issa Hayatou, the Confederation of African Football president, vowed to work things out for Ahli and make their away match as comfortable as possible. Five-time African champions Ahli are highly nominated to claim an unprecedented sixth African Champions League title, after condemning Coton to a 2-0 loss in the first leg in Cairo.
