AC Milan have put an end to their miserable start of the season after thrashing Lazio 4-1 at San Siro. The Rossoneri lost their opening two league games and manager Carlo Ancelotti was under huge pressure to beat Lazio, who had a perfect start of the season collecting six points. Clarence Seedorf opened the scoring after eight minutes when his pass rebounded off Cristian Ledesma to put him through on goal. Mauro Zarate silenced the crowd in the 26th minute as he beat the offside trap and netted the equalizer in the near post. Nine minutes later, Gianluca Zambrotta restored his side's lead with a splendid 30-metre drive. Brazilian starlet Alexandre Pato killed any hopes of a comeback for Lazio with a third goal just after the break as he headed home the third from close range. Pato's compatriot Kaka scored his first goal this term with a rocketing ball from 30 yards to complete the rout. Substitute Ronaldinho could have hit the fifth but his shot was denied by the post. AC Milan will have a tough task next week end as they will face arch-rivals Inter Milan.
