UAE side Al-Ain have tabled a three million euros bid to sign Ahli's playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika on a season-long loan. Al-Ain have seen a two-million euro offer for the Egyptian international rejected by Ahli last season. The Emirates club renewed their interest this summer, raising their offer to three million. But it is highly unlikely that Ahli will accept Al-Ain's latest proposal, according to the Red Devils' marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi. "Abou-Treika is an indispensable member of Ahli's squad. The team will need him next season," Al-Qaeyi said. "Furthermore, the player is part of our CAF Champions League squad, so losing him would leave a huge void in the team." The 29-year-old refused to comment on Al-Ain's offer, insisting that the matter is entirely in Ahli's hands. Several Gulf clubs made no secret of their desire to sign Abou-Treika, who has become an Ahli icon since joining from Tersana in January 2004. His numerous assists and goals helped Ahli win a host of trophies during a glorious four-year spell for the Cairo giants.
