Kaka set for record Chelsea move
Published in FilGoal on 19 - 07 - 2008

AC Milan star Kaka is on the verge of completing a world-record switch to Chelsea, according to the Brazilian playmaker's personal advisor.
Diogo Kotscho revealed that an £80M deal will 'definitely' go on, in the course of the Italian giants' financial crisis.
"Real Madrid offered 90 million euros last summer and Milan did not even think about the bid," Kotscho told The Guardian.
"This time is different. This is the first time we feel that a deal will definitely happen.
"Because of the situation Milan are in at the moment, the deal is good for all parties involved."
Milan vice-chairman Adriano Galliani implied recently that selling Kaka could be a major step in easing the club's financial troubles.
Significant Increase
Apart from Milan's benefit, Kotscho declared that the lucrative offer won't be less profitable to the 2007 FIFA World Player of the Year.
"The move would represent a significant increase in Kaka's salary, on top of the 10 percent transfer fee that goes straight to the player anyway - some 15 million euros," he added.
"Chelsea are the club to be at right now. They are building a team to win everything."
Kaka's good relationship with former Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari is another reason that could facilitate the move.
However, Scolari will face a tricky job picking up his midfield line, which already includes playmakers Frank Lampard, Deco and Michael Ballack.
