Inter Milan failed in their bid to sign Chelsea's Frank Lampard as the Blues said they are not willing to discuss the move of the England midfielder. Lampard has been strongly linked with a move to Inter, following the hiring of former coach Jose Mourinho and the arrival of Portugal midfielder Deco at Stamford Bridge. However, the London club do not seem to be interested in selling their vice-captain, who will run out of contract next summer. "We have informed Inter that we will not enter into any discussions regarding the transfer," a Chelsea statement read. Inter new boss Mourinho recently stated that he would love to have Lampard at San Siro, but conceded that capturing him next season will be easier.
