Ahli have rejected a one-year loan offer for defender Wael Gomaa from Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr. "Hossam Al-Badri told me that the club is not willing to let me go this season," Gomaa told FilGoal.com. The 32-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Qatar's Al-Siliya, was supposed to receive EGP 800,000 from the Saudi club. Gomaa is an undisputable member in Egypt's backline and Ahli obviously had serious problems in defense during his absence. The former Ghazl Mahalla center-half was linked with a move to Blackburn Rovers after Egypt's 2006 African Cup of Nations victory.
