Former Barcelona star Josep Guardiola is in line to replace under-fire coach Frank Rijkaard at Nou Camp next season, according to Spanish media. Daily Marca said that president Joan Laporta and sporting director Txiki Begiristain agreed upon promoting the Barcelona B coach to the first team, but are not willing to announce the decision in the mean time. Barcelona-based Sport and Mundo Deportivo also stated that a ratified board decision will be announced when Barca's league campaign is over. Guardiola, who captained Barca in the late 90s, won six Primera Liga title and One UEFA Champions League title with the Blaugrana. The 37-year-old, who has more than 45 caps for Spain, then played for Brescia, Roma and Ahli of Qatar after leaving Barca in 2001.
