The Ukrainian hitman has endured a frustrating time since arriving at Chelsea from Milan in the summer of 2006. He was repeatedly linked with a return to the San Siro, where he had great memories, but stressed his commitment to the Blues every time these reports arose. However, Calcio Italia stated that Shevchenko is seeking to depart the Londoners at the end of the season. Milan will be looking to strengthen their frontline, given the uncertainty surrounding Ronaldo's future. The Brazilian striker will face a lengthy sideline spell due to a severe knee injury and he is yet to extend his contract with the Rossoneri, which runs out at the end of the season. Milan may step in and sign Shevchenko on loan to cover the absence of Ronaldo.
