Egyptian champions Ahli will have to do without star Mohamed Abou-Treika in the Cairo derby against Zamalek on Friday as he failed to recover from injury in time. The talented playmaker failed a late fitness test and will not be able to take part in the anticipated game. Abou-Treika sustained a knee injury earlier this month but Ahli faithful hoped he would be available for the clash after undergoing a successful surgery in Germany. However, the Egypt playmaker bas been left out of Manuel Jose's 18-man squad for the match. Defender Shadi Mohamed, who was rated doubtful after hurting his knee in Ahli's 4-1 victory over Arab Contractors, has been included in the squad after shrugging off the complaint. Centre back Ahmed Al-Sayed has been surprisingly excluded. Ahli officials did not disclose the reason for his omission but it seems his legal problems had an adverse effect on him. Al-Sayed is involved in a bribery case.
