Chelsea striker Andriy Shechenko is on his way out of Stamford Bridge and is very close to joining his old team AC Milan at the end of the season, reports claimed on Tuesday. The Mirror said that the Ukrainian striker had a meeting with Chelsea chairman Roman Abramovich to tell him that he can't stay in London anymore and feels to be underestimated. Since signing for the Blues in summer 2006, the 31-year old striker failed to regain the splendid form he used to produce for seven years with the Rossoneri. According to the report, the Russian billionaire showed little resistance and opened the door for more negotiations. The Ukraine star striker is Avram Grant's fourth choice after Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka and Salomon Kalou. Milan Chairman Silvio Berlusconi confirmed that Sheva would be welcomed back at San Siro. "Shevchenko is a player that is physically fit and who is still in our hearts and in those of the Rossoneri fans." The Milan supremo has also denied claims that he'll pursue Brazilian Ronaldinho next summer. "Ronaldinho has never been an aim of ours because we have always felt that he would not have been the ideal partner of players like Alexandre Pato and Kaka," he added.
