The relationship between the Egyptian FA and manager Hassan Shehata has taken another twist, a few days after the two parties patched things up in a board meeting. A board member sounded the frustration of the FA at the Egypt coach's criticism to the football governing body in an interview with Emirati magazine 'Super'. He said that Shehata will be asked for an explanation after he blasted the 'schizophrenic' FA members, saying that the team is 'not getting enough support' ahead of the African Cup of Nations next month. Shehata, who claimed that the interview was recorded a long time ago, has usually complained from the FA's management to the fixtures of the league and cup competitions. The under-fire coach led the Pharaohs to the CAN 2006 title on home soil, and the five-time champions are currently in preparation for their title defense.
