Flamengo are in talks with AC Milan over the possible transfer of Ronaldo to the Brazilian club, said the latter's cub vice-chairman. Mengo vice-president Kleber Leite claims that the Rossoneri have given the club green light to negotiate a move for the Brazilian ace. "Flamengo have received Milan's authorization to negotiate with Ronaldo. We have already had contacts with the player and we are certain that he can revive himself here," Leite told Gazzetta dello Sport on Wednesday. Leite also revealed that Ronaldo is eyeing a return to Brazil, but he stated that financial matters are yet to be discussed with Milan. "We have not spoken about money yet and about how much we will have to give his current club," he added. "But in the meantime we have had a useful exchange of ideas because we have perceived that Ronaldo has an enormous desire to change the course of his life and the interest is mutual." The 31-year-old forward had an injury-plagued spell since arriving at San Siro in January, and manager Carlo Ancelotti has recently turned his attention to 17-year-old starlet Alexandre Pato. Ronaldo played for Cruzeiro before starting his dazzling European career in 1994, representing the likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
