Ittihad new bossr Taha Basri has promised to keep the team among the elites despite being second from the bottom at the end of the Egyptian Premier League first round. "Ittihad have many good players and I'm sure they can take the club away from the danger zone," the former Enppi and Ismaili coach told a press conference on Monday. "We can't bring in many players as our squad is already full with 30 players but I'll try to adjust some players' positions to cover our needs." The former Zamalek legend also confirmed that all bans will be lifted as he's trying to create a new atmosphere to help the players improve and save their team. Basri, who will earn EGP 55 000 per month, is the third coach to take charge of the Alexandrian giants this season after Mohamed Omar and Mohamed Salah. Elsewhere, the club's vice president Mohamed Mosselhi has revealed that he will open talks with Zamalek's out-of-favor striker Mostafa Gaafar to sign him in January.
