Ahli manager Manuel Jose expressed his relief with his side's 2-0 win over Egyptian league strugglers Ittihad on Wednesday. Jose was glad to bag the three points, and was even happier that his team managed to regroup after the devastating CAF Champions League final defeat ten days ago. "We are very happy with the win today, the players needed to get over our Champions League defeat," the Ahli boss said in the post-match conference. "I think it was an easy victory, we didn't face much pressure from Ittihad." The Portuguese tactician was pleased to see strike partners Emad Meteb and Ahmed Belal get on the scoresheet for the first time this season, as he heaped his praise upon the latter. "I want to congratulate Belal for his performance and his determination to return to the first team, it is great to have him back" Jose said. "Meteb had a fine game as well and his set piece goal was well-taken." Conference Rift Jose was involved in a rift with Ittihad assistant coach Mamdouh Ouka during the press conference, which saw the latter storm out of the room in rage. Ouka, who attended the conference instead of head coach Mohamed Salah, was furious with Jose's teasing gestures to Ittihad fans, telling them that the team will go down. Moreover, the Portuguese laughed off Ouka's claims that the home team played a better game and was unlucky to be on the losing side. Consequently, the Ittihad coach left the conference, after which Jose apologized for his acts, claiming that it was due to the hostile reception by Ittihad fans.
