Al-Gaish continued their fairytale in the Egyptian League after Gomaa Mashour's late penalty gave them a 1-0 home victory over Telecom Egypt on Saturday. Mashour converted a spot kick ten minutes from time to earn Talaat Youssef's men their fifth successive win which kept them on the league table's summit. The military club are in charge of the table with 22 points, five ahead of second-placed Ahli, whose match with Petrojet was postponed due to the title holders' Champions League commitment. Elsewhere, Ismaili were held to a 1-1 away draw by ENPPI in the former's first game under new coach Ismail Hefni. Hefni took over at the Dervishes after Taha Basri was sacked following a string of poor results. Iraqi striker Mostafa Karim put the visitors ahead seven minutes before the break but Egyptian international Ahmed Al-Muhammadi leveled the score three minutes past the hour mark. Ismaili are fourth in the table with 12 points while Petroleum club ENPPI lie 11th on eight points.
