Zamalek chairman Mamdouh Abbas invited Egyptian FA president Samir Zaher and his assistant Ahmed Shobeir in order to resolve the rift that occurred between the two parties in recent weeks. Abbas accused the EFA of being biased against Zamalek after the Egyptian football governing body punished striker Amr Zaki, who was spotted by cameras insulting the referee in a league game against Baladeya three weeks ago. However, it seems that the Zamalek chairman is intending to burry the hatchet with the EFA, in an attempt to improve the frosty relationship with vice-president Shobeir. "Abbas invited EFA president (Zaher) and his assistant (Shobeir) to meet at the club on Wednesday, in order to enhance the relationship between the two sides," EFA spokesman Medhat Shalabi told FilGoal.com.
