Italian giants Juventus could make a move to bring Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack to Turin on a loan deal, Calcio Italia magazine reported on Wednesday. The German midfielder has been linked with a move out of Stamford Bridge after Jose Mourinho opted not to include him in the Blues' UEFA Champions League squad. The three-time English champions cited Ballack's injury as a reason for omitting him as he won't be able to recover in time to take part in the Champions League group stage. However, the fact that the group stage concludes on December 11th while Ballack is expected to fully recover one month earlier resurfaced talks regarding the player's departure. According to Calcio Italia, Juventus are considering offering Ballack a loan deal to add depth to their midfield. The Bianconeri have started the Serie A in style, securing two successive victories to lie on top of the league table.
