Sudan giants Hilal grabbed their first victory in the CAF Champions League following a 2-0 home win over Tunisian side Esperance on Sunday. Nigerian striker Eke Goodwin scored in each half to deny Esperance new boss Faouzi Benzarti a winning start. Group phase debutants Hilal, who were handed a 2-0 defeat by Ahli in the opener, are second in Group B with three points, three adrift of the Cairo giants. Ivory Coast outfit ASEC Mimosas and Esperance lie third and fourth respectively with just one point. Goodwin put the hosts ahead in the 29th minute after he connected with Kelechi Osunwa's cross from the left-flank to head into the back of the net. He ensured the victory two minutes into the stoppage time when he capitalized on a defensive blunder to go through on goal. Goodwin's initial shot was blocked by the keeper but he made no mistake in the second attempt.
