Ittihad Jeddah thrashed Al-Faisaly 5-2 at home on Thursday to snatch second spot in the Saudi League and book their place in the decisive play-offs. A brace from Brazilian striker Renaldo Oliveira in addition to goals by Hamza Edrees and Hamad Al-Aissa led Ittihad to a precious victory while Burkina Faso's Abdoulaye Cisse notched twice for Al-Faisaly. The win lifted Ittihad to second place in the league table with 48 points to advance to the competition's semi-finals while Al-Faisaly have been officially relegated to second division as they lie second from bottom on 18 points. Elsewhere, Al-Wehda grabbed a 2-0 home victory over Al-Nassr, thanks to goals from Alaa Al-Kuwaikabi and Aissa Al-Mehyani. Al-Wehda are third with 47 points while Al-Nassr finished the league in ninth place with just 21 points, their lowest position in history. In the play-offs, Al-Wehda will face fourth-placed Al-Shabab and the winners will advance to the semis where they will play Ittihad. Riyadh-based club Al-Hilal, who are in charge of the league table, have been promoted directly to the final where they play at home.
