Hazem Emam has been surprisingly left out of Zamalek's squad for the Arab Champions League (ACL) game against Ahli Bordj on Monday. The Zamalek skipper was expected to feature in the ACL quarter-finals match after resolving his problems with coach Manuel Cajuda. However, the Portuguese coach opted to rule Emam out of the game although he played in a friendly match on Thursday and took part in the training the following day. The 31-year-old playmaker fell out with Cajuda in November when he was dropped from Zamalek's squad against Libya's Ittihad. Midfielder Magdi Atwa wasn't also included while Amr Al-Safti has replaced Tunisian defender Yamen ben Zekri. Zamalek host Algeria's Ahli Bordj in their first Group A match of the ACL quarter-finals on Monday.
