Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello said he was impressed by his team's performance in the 2-1 defeat to Celta Vigo in the Primera Liga on Sunday. “I think we played a good game. Actually, it's the first time I really enjoyed the team,” Capello was quoted as saying by Real's website after the game. "I like the second half especially,” the Italian tactician added. Celta's Anderson Nene stunned the home crowd in the 36th minute but Brazilian midfielder Emerson leveled the score two minutes before the interval. However, Jorge Larena sealed the precious win for the visitors eight minutes before the final whistle.
Ronaldo was paired with Van Nistelrooy for the first time "We had many chances, but we didn't score,” said Capello. “We gave away too much and Celta took advantage of the concessions." But despite admitting that his players came out short, the former Juventus boss insisted his team deserved to win. "The defeat is absolutely unfair. We made two isolated mistakes, but we had six or seven very clear opportunities, maybe even an uncalled penalty, but then again it's only a penalty if the referee calls it," he said. Capello also praised returning striker Ronaldo, who earned his first start of the season and paired up with Dutch ace Ruud van Nistelrooy. “I really liked how he (Ronaldo) paired up with Van Nistelrooy. I am sure that the two of them can be lined up from the start. I will use this partnership again, for sure."
